Regular Meeting:
The regular monthly meeting of the Mississippi Valley Firefighters Association was held at the Hillsdale Fire Station
on October 16, 2008. The meeting was called to order by President Dave Liebovitz at 6:40 P.M. The Pledge of
Allegiance was recited, then roll call. Roll call showed 27 members from 13 departments were present. The meeting
broke for everyone to eat their meal.
The meeting reconvened at 7:07 P.M. and a moment of silence for fallen firefighters was observed. The minutes of
the last meeting were read, motioned to accept, voted on and accepted. The treasure report was read and the
checking account balance was $ 580.13 and the savings account balance was $4397.22. Motion to accept treasures
report was made, voted on, and passed.
There were no new nominations for the office of President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasure for the
upcoming year. A motion to close the nominations was made, seconded, voted on and passed. Dennis Litwiler and
Vicky LeClair were renominated to the board of directors. The Smoke Alive trailer needs some work done on it; wiring,
painting, door frames, and work on the tongue of the trailer.

Dave Liebovitz said thank you to the Hillsdale Fire Department for hosting the meeting at their station. Next meeting will
be at the Hampton Fire Station on November 20, 2008. Board meeting starting at 6:00 PM, general membership
meeting starting at 6:30 PM. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
