Regular Meeting:
The regular monthly meeting of the Mississippi Valley Firefighters Association was held at the Aledo Fire Station
on November 15, 2007. The meeting was called to order by President Dave Liebovitz at 7:05 P.M. followed by roll call
and the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call showed 28 members from 13 departments were present. The meeting broke
for everyone to eat and Alexis Fire Equipment to demonstrate Fire Aid, a wetting solution for fire department use. The
meeting reconvened at 8:05 PM.
After a short break a moment of silence was observed for fallen firefighters, then the minutes of the last meeting
were read, motioned to accept, voted on and accepted. The treasure's report was read. Motion to accept treasures
report was made, voted on, and passed.
In new business, next years meeting schedule was started and is as follows for what we have:

March BOD & meeting Cambridge
April meeting Carbon Cliff
May BOD & meeting Moline 2nd Alarmers
June meeting Geneseo
July BOD & meeting Alexis Fire Equipment
August meeting Coal Valley
September BOD & meeting Sherrard
October meeting Hillsdale
November BOD & meeting Hampton
It was decided at the Board meeting to change the time for the meeting to start. The meetings will now begin at 6:30
PM instead of 7:00 PM. Bus trip to FDIC was brought up and discussed. Cost will be $35.00 and whatever the bus
costs. Scenic Stage Lines is the company that we will be using this year and we have reserved a full sized bus. It will
have 52 seats and a bathroom on board.
In old business, nominations for officers were opened up once again with no new nominations. Motion made to retain
present officers. Motion voted on and passed. Steve Bein brought up that when everyone is looking to price out new
gear for grants that they should remember our members in the association and try to give them as much business as
possible.
Dave Liebovitz said thank you to the Aledo Fire Department for hosting the meeting at their station. Next meeting will
be at Cambridge on March 20, 2007, Board Of Directors meeting at 6:00 PM, general membership meeting starting at
6:30 PM. Meeting adjourned at 8:27 PM.
